HOPE Ministry, located in Webster, NY, was founded in 1998 by a core committee of Holy Trinity parishioners in response to the growing number of people who were coming to the parish for help with special or emergency needs. To date, HOPE House has provided much needed assistance to over 1,000 families in the Webster area.
Over four-dozen regular volunteers enable HOPE House to provide families with not only food assistance, but also Emergency Financial Assistance that may help families to cover the cost of medical and legal expenses and also rent and utility bills. Families can also benefit from receiving household goods including furniture, and both adult and children’s clothing. All of these items are offered to families free-of-charge.
At HOPE House a strong emphasis is placed on building ongoing relationships with local families. The value of this effort at community building is obvious in a comment offered by a recent visitor : “Thank you for being a friend and not just a charity.”
HOPE House is located at 1450 Ridge Road East in the Village of Webster. Services can be accessed Mondays 6:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesdays 10:00am-12:00pm, Wednesdays 3:00pm-5:00pm and Thursdays 7:00pm-9:00pm.
