This year, we have a new campaign called “Buy a Bird.” The featured turkey for 2005 is "Sheriff Tex Turkington." With this campaign, interested groups or individuals adopt these cute collectibles to sell to friends, family, co-workers and classmates. Each bird is available for a $15 donation. All proceeds from the sales of "Sheriff Tex" will benefit Foodlink and will allow our food bank to provide meals to local families throughout this holiday season. For every $1.00 we collect, our food bank can provide $15 worth of food to area families in need. For more information, call (585)328-3380 x142.

If your organization would like to do a food drive, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator @ (585)328-3380 x 149 or email us

We will be happy to work with your organization to provide food drive barrels, materials and/or a Foodlink representative to come out to speak to your organization about the difference your efforts can make for our neighbors in need.

Our Food Drive Flyer lists the types of foods we are looking for, and can be used to promote your food drive. If you would like us to send you a laminated copy of the flyer to post, we would be happy to do so.

The Food Drive Suggestions contains information on how to run a successful food drive, gives you a little bit of information about why we are looking for the foods we list on the food drive flyer.

The Special Food Drives lists a number of "theme" food drives - Theme food drives are a good way to connect the food you are collecting to the ways in which the food will be used, and they can make shopping for food easier.
Regarless of how you set up your food drive, have fun with it and let people you are working with know how valuable their contributions are to the people we serve.

Together we can help end hunger at home.
